Going to start streaming soon. Would a 17 down and 5.59 up internet speed be acceptable?

My latency/ping is 35 too if that matters in anyway. Thanks to anyone who answers my question and/or gives useful tips or information!

It's not the ideal speed if you are planning to stream and have it in HD, I would recommend having about 20mbps upload speed.

How long is a piece of string, and will it reach all the way round ?
Yes and no. It is possible to stream at any speed. Please use more words if you want a sensible answer. You have not said what resolution or bitrate you intend to capture at. You have not said what software or network you are using. Sites like Twitch.tv have excellent tutorials, and the recommended software Open Broadcaster also has extensive tutorials. |
