I think my friend may have hurt himself!!?
I have post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and I am pretty much open about it to the people I know. However my best friend for life has bipolar disorder and he has no clue I know this. I just found out this week. I went on his facebook page because I was wondering why he was not responding to my phone calls or text messages and I wanted to see if he was actively posting things on facebook.

Well my friend (5 days ago) took this quiz about life and when I clicked on the results on his facebook it said that he was 95% bipolar and that he should seek help. He has always been really depressed and always talks negatively about his life. He says he hates his family for all the hell they cause him and that I am his only friend and his best friend for life. He recently told me he is bisexual and that he has this big crush on me cause he knows I am openly gay and he knows I have PTSD but never told me his life was this bad.

I am concerned. It has been more then a few days now and he has not responded to my phone calls or text messages. I am worried he might have hurt himself. He is a very independent person who does not like accepting help from people and he has trouble admitting when he has a problem in his life. I went by his place but no one was there. He tells me everything and recently all he has been talking about is how messed up his life is and how peoples hate causes suicides for others. What should I do? I love my friend too much to see anything happen to him!

It sounds like he is suicidal. I would try to contact his parents about where he is (don't mention suicide or depression or anything). Then I would sit down with him and force him to see the good in his life. Good luck.

You could try asking some relatives or other friends if they have heard from him or if you are very concerned even see if the cops will check his place out (they may not check but they may if this is unusual behaviour for him especially if he has bipolar and/or suicidal)

I hope he is ok and you hear from him soon.
