Is the SEO I have for my website good? What improvements would you recommend?
I'm trying to rank highly in local Google search and I can't seem to crack the top 7 that's always shown on the Google maps results when you search for a local business. I've done my best to optimize my meta tags, try to have anchor text to rank for keywords, and to create decent content that would benefit my audience, but my page isn't even close to the top.

There are other local websites that are always at the top and their websites don't have anything special at all- what do they have that I don't? I have 17 Google reviews by the way and I'm rated higher than my competitors in the area.

What could I be doing wrong? Please check my code and see if I have all the right tags and crawling settings. I want to rank highly for local keywords like "salon plano tx" "hair salon plano" "beauty salon plano" "hair stylist in plano". How can I get there? Here's my website:

Thanks in advance for all your help!

You may be better trying to rank for some long tail keywords too. These will be easier to rank for and it will add some diversity to your content too.

Check out this video, it shows some software I use that will be able to help you out with scraping keywords, establishing the competition for each keyword, and also how to get your competitor's backlinks for yourself:

Good luck!

Hi there!

Being on the first page is already a great achievement. Cracking the barrier is tough, but pretty doable. I mean, you've gone this far, so what's the point of being contented at being number seven right? I have a few concerns with your site:

1. The home page: although I think that the woman in the home page is absolutely stunning and there are absolutely no words to describe her beauty, it doesn't tell much about your services. When I first visited, I first thought that it was a philosophical blog, but it turned out to be a website for a salon. You might want to put an image that immediately tells your users - and search engines - what your website is all about.

2. Emphasis on the text. Let's go back to your home page. The point of emphasis is your philosophy and ideals, although I commend on how you snuck a couple of keywords. Other than that, it must SHOUT "salon services" or "hair styling". Also try to enlarge the text - give due emphasis to it.

Anyway, you could try contacting an SEO company that specializes in small business SEO and web design, like jointplan.co.uk.

As for your content, try to improve it Smile Anyway, good luck and I hope I helped out a bit. Good luck!

Your website seems god with SEO friendly design, but it need to be more SEO friendly to get good traffic and organic Google search results. So high traffic will maximize your results. So try and consult a good white hat seo service provider for making your site more seo friendly.
