Internet Explore keeps trying to get me to update, when I already have the updates, then they want to download a bunch of other updates form sites I don't want.

ok, my personal opinion is that Internet Explorer is "crap", get google chrome with auto updates; and toolbars and other things wont pop up, download here:

download both and import from Internet Explorer under the settings tab and import form IE.
