I have a red masquerade dress that I want to trade for a different kind.

You'd be better off with two separate transactions. Sell the dress on a site like Ebay. Or locally like Craigslist. Then use the same sites to buy a used replacement, or just buy a new one. The odds of you and someone else both having the item the other wants--in the right size--are very tiny.
