Does Pinterest have an issue with spam followers?

I have had a Pinterest account for around two months now and recently (as in past 5 days) I have gained around 250 followers. I have reason to suspect spam because they're all following the same board and when I click on their name they have no boards and are following around 200 people.
Are other people having this issue and should I be worried about hacking?

I don't think so, i exchange pinterest followers for YT likes and nothing like this happened
