Why am I hated on reddit.com for being 12?

I think this is pretty standard for websites in the United States (my rough understanding is either a service must say it is not intended for kids under 13 at all, or that kids under 13 are only supposed to use the service with parental participation and not sign up alone).

They don't know you are more mature than other 12 year olds. You can't help it either, when they hear your voice they'll know2 immediately you're a 12 year old and that's enough for them to 'hate' you.
