My internet browsers won't show anything.?
I have a Windows HP Pavilion Touch Smart 64-bit laptop. When I try and open google chrome or internet explorer, they show they are loading a webpage but nothing ever pops up. I let it run for 10 minutes once and still nothing popped up. I do have strong internet connection because I'm right next to the router. I can play online games that have been previously downloaded to my computer just fine. I just can't go on google or yahoo or Facebook on my computer. Can someone help me?

if it is not showing ANYTHING at all (just a blank page) then i wouldn't have a clue
otherwise, if your games and other apps are connecting to the internet then the problem might be because:
A: your browser is blocked by the firewall
B: your proxy settings are bad.
C: Port 80 is blocked.

I'm sorry I'm very sleepy now so you will need to Google how to fix those, they are very simple to fix anyway so you shouldn't get stumbled up a lot

Hi James. It does sound like you are having internet connectivity issues. If you have downloaded games saved on your computer, then it may appear as though they are working online, but the data is on your hard drive perhaps. Without knowing the version of Windows you have installed, I suggest first trying this site if you have Windows 7 for troubleshooting steps.
