So I've been friends with the girl for a while, let's call her Emma for story's sake, and we kinda drifted apart for a while and then she wasn't at school for a while. Over this time, everyone was saying she came out as bi on some social media site. She came back to school this year, and then a few days ago my other friend told me Emma was checking me out. I used to like her a little bit because im 75% gay myself, but now i'm kinda on the fence of what to do since i'm not out. We've started talking again and she's gotten like, super gorgeous and is really nice. How should i go on about this? I've actually never dated anyone so ;-; Any input would be much appreciated thanks everyone!

Let her know about your sexuality and that you are neither out nor, unless the situation or your perspective changes, comfortable being outed or outing yourself. Then, in whatever order feels more comfortable for you, let her know that you're interested in her and ask if she's interested in you, since it seems like she might be but you're not really sure.

If you're truly friends, you'll be able to truthfully let her know that you're okay with not pursuing a romantic relationship if she's not interested in you or not interested in being with someone before they're out.

Confess your feelings with her, and also tell her that you're not out. If she likes you a lot, she'll understand and respect your feelings.

So I figured ur still in high school or middle school. Well from experience I would try to come out even if its just with her and then out to the public. Its goin to make ur life so much easyer when growing up in this society now. If you hold this in it only goin to make things hard and more complex to your emotions. Coming out would be the biggest and hardest thing you can do but it would be the best and easiest thingyou can do for you future
Im 21 now and I wish I came out before I got out of high school. It would have made things easier then to hide things cause I thought people would judge me but I could out after that once you actually know what you want makes it easier to have friends and have a future.
