Skype says I don't have internet connection but I obviously do?

I try logging in using my Microsoft Account as I usually do. It loads for a minute, then displays a white screen with a notification down the bottom stating 'There are errors on this page, go back.' so I go back to the sign in page and then it tries telling me I don't have internet connection but i obviously do. I'm using the Mac's Skype application. I tried using my phone too but when I pressed on the Microsoft Account button it loads for a minute then just displays a white screen also? :/

Whats going on and how do I fix it?
Well, I'm using the application rather than through an internet browser. Usually I would use Chrome anyway.

Use a different browser. If you are using Safari, that's your problem. Download Firefox or Opera. Safari is a pretty crappy browser and doesn't display a lot of pages correctly.
