Is uploading a photo directly to the "news feed" page on facebook safe?

I'm pretty useless with computers, but for some reason uploading a photo straight to the news feed page rather than to the home page seems less safe. Is there any added risk with this or not? I don't know how else to get a photo on the news feed page.

It's the same thing, there is no added risk at all. Feel free to share your photos, and of course don't forget to set up the privacy for your photos!
