I have no idea about the value, but to a specific geographic location, I would recommend you to use craiglist. You can meet people in person to negotiate the price, and get cash from it. Ebay and Amazon charges for about 10% fee out of total.

Depends on how urgent you want to sell it. you could sell your helmet on ebay with bidding. It might take a week or so. Or you can set it to buy it now for a fixed price and list it for a long time.
