My DSL Internet is slow..almost like dial up....What likely is the cause?

i have the Internet via DSL but it is a slow almost as slow as dial up
All my hardward/connections seem secure.

But are all your connections correct? Was it always slow? Have you checked for spyware on EVERY device connected? Common cause of poor performance on a network. What bandwidth did they quote you "up to". Do you have DSL filters on every outlet with a phone connected or do you have the proper fitted master outlet with inbuilt filter and is ALL the wiring elsewhere connect from the phone connections on it.
