How do I avoid downloading toolbars for internet explorer?
Sometimes I accidently download toolbars and it really messes up my browser which is internet explorer. Whenever that happens I have to restore my computer. I don't even know why they have toolbars if all they are going to do is mess up the computer. What do I look for so I can avoid downloading them in the future? I also have to redownload some programs since I restored my computer.

There will be a check box or two or three asking if you want to also install X Y and Z in addition to whatever you are installing. Usually the box is already checked. Uncheck it (make sure it is blank, before proceeding with download.
