My facebook received messages got deleted?

One of my friends sent me a couple of messages saying how i was ignoring him and 'are we even friends anymore'..so i replied to him and we started having a conversation. after a while i scrolled up and THOSE CHEESY MESSAGES WERE GONE! i dont know how he did that! but they were gone. and no i didnt imagine those messages..they were there..he did send them. and then after a while they were gone! and that too while we were chatting. i had scrolled up to read those messages again because i still couldnt believe that my ignoring him was bothering him and he could say something like that to me. BUT THEY WERE GONE!
so i told him immediateley that they disappeared and even sent him a screenshot of my inbox..and all he said was 'hmmmmmm' ! -_-
I want to know how that happened!
OH..his roommate is a computer genius btw
and no i tried but messages cant be deleted from facebook..if your delete messages from the 'actions' then only YOUR copy of msgs get deleted, the other person would still have that message!

Ive been having the same problem lately as well as some friends and Im gonna say its just facebook messing up yet again

Your chat can be delete by the person with whom you are chatting.

He Did Not Delete Those Messages Either its a Facebook Glitch Or you Deleted Those Messages
