How to stop feeling depressed?
I just turned 18, but feel depressed all the time about girls. I am a pretty introvert guy at first which gets hard at times and it just brings me down. I feel out of place often and just get stressed out. I try to open up and act extrovert but just feel out of place. I work and breathe with all extroverts and am bad with meeting other girls. I work at a college cafeteria on the weekends (still in high school, senior) and like this one girl at another high school shes going there next year but I have never met her before I see her all over social media but I went to school with her sister but barely knew her either. I don't know why I feel so attracted to her and she seems fairly extrovert and a big into partying which I do sometimes. I want to talk to her but i would feel socially awkward and online would feel like a creep. I am going to a different college but we will be in the same town so it's just hard cause I like my job but know I am considering quitting because it will kill me every time I see her. I try to forget and move on and focus on my own life but sometimes it just gets hard. Just looking for some suggestions because I really want to move on from this.

well i felt the same but just be brave and talk to them thats all i did and got a bloody nose from being nervous

You have stay busy....occupy your time with a hobby (new or old)...sports...or what makes you happy...Pray and ask God for help continually. Find your niche or what you want to do in life. It sound like your infatuated with this girl, focus on your studies and making time for other things you want to pursue. This is only the beginning.

Your feelings of being depressed is the result of hormonal changes in your body which releases cortisols in your brain causing a chemical imbalance. To combat this and stop it, you should start getting some exercise like running and swimming to release endorphins in the brain to make you feel happy and stay positive. You should also try occupying your mind with something important to do, such as doing a homework or job hunting. Diet also has an affect on your brain, eating too much red meat causes to become depressed. Start eating vegetables and fish, this will increase antioxidants in the brain and improves your cognition.

As for the girl problem, you should just forget about it. Spending too much time wondering why you can't get the girl will only increase your depressed feelings. Focus on other important things in life such as finding a part time job to earn some money and start planning on your future career and what you want to be when you graduated from college or university. If you focus on these things, you'll have a good future, job and income which in return will attract that girl of your dreams.
