how to use internet when your room-mates is downloading!?

He's download something from flashget and my wifi get so sloow, i tried asking him to stop or set a limit to the speed but he wont budge!, how to suck more speed?, is there any settings or software?

Most routers have settings to limit users. If it's under your control you can adjust the settings.

Look in your router for QOS. google it you can throttle his and speed yours up. Other things to set on your computer :
Increase your bandwidth by at least 20%.
1.) log on as Administrator.
2.) start - run - type gpedit.msc
3.) expand "local computer policy"
4.) then expand "administrative templates"
5.) then expand "network branch"
6.) Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler"
7.) on right window double click "limit reservable bandwidth"
8.) on setting tab check the "enabled"
9.) change "Bandwidth limit %" to 0
You're done.It would be a good idea to reboot after this.
