Is it really helpful to post articles for article marketing?

Article marketing for the most part is not the way to go for effective long term marketing.. Several years ago this was the way to go but now many companies are learning the hard way that article marketing is typically a short term way to get traffic in google, yahoo, and bing. I would focus on trying to do more guest posts on blogs that will allow you to do that. I would also focus on trying to build on your social media as that is going to be more of the focus going forward. Many people are doing article marketing strictly to manipulate the search engines and I would always urge against this practice. Always try to make keep the end user / site visitor in mind when creating your content and understand that google is building their future of search around the user's experience and that does not have anything to do with long boring articles with repetitive keywords stuffed into articles that link back to your website.
