Ebay seller making me pay reshipment fee?
An Ebay seller sent me an item that did not arrive for weeks even after multiple reshipments. A tracking number was not provided, so those items are forever lost. I opened a case, and the seller contacted me outside of the resolution center saying he/she resent the item already and that it should have arrived. Today, that item has arrived, but my mailman told me that I owed almost $2 before I could have it. He said the item, which was sent via envelope, was shipped specially which is why I had the fee to pay. The seller and I live relatively close in the US, so that couldn't have been a weird customs fee. Do you think this seller resent the item and tried to make me pay extra? It is a long story, but it is 100% the seller's fault that I didn't receive the item the few times it was shipped and reshipped. I already payed the cost of the item upfront with free shipping. The seller his/herself told me that the item's shipping was so cheap because of the cheap, tracking-free method. Never before has a mailman come to my door telling me that I had extra to pay. This situation does not make any sense to me.
That's what I was thinking to do. However, can anyone explain why I had an extra fee to pay? Is that the work of the seller?

It's up to you whether to pay the $2 and get the item or refuse and have it returned to the seller. You will not get the $2 back from the seller.

However, since the seller did not use Delivery Confirmation, you can open a claim stating you never received the item if fewer than 45 days have elapsed since you paid for it. Without a DC#, you are guaranteed to win this claim and get a full refund.
