Should I add adsense to my blog? What are the pros and cons?
So I have had my blog for a few years now, and I only have like 20 followers and get maybe like 300 views a month. I'm going to college so any little bit of money will help. I know that adsense doesn't really earn you that much money, but I'm still considering it.
Should I apply for it? What are the pros and cons? How long does it take to meet the $100 threshold? Thank you! btw, my blog is http://knotsandruffles.blogspot.com/ Ads |

Some sites require 10,000 visitors to earn the $100 depends highly on the site content, a camera buff site earns a lot more than a cut cat photo site (more camera sellers bidding up the ad costs) so it could be a couple of years? the same adsense account can be used on multiple sites which can speed up the payoff, for simple articles on hubpages you get 60% of the ad clicks in their revenue sharing scheme.
A web search would turn up reviews of Adsense Alternatives, some who pay out at $10, but typically have lower average earnings than adsense. Ads |

you definitely need more visitors to make money with adsense. But why not register for it, get used to the ads and then maybe put one or 2 on your site?

should i adsense it?
pros - Google loves seeing its code on your site - the ads adapt dynamically to your pages content, no thinking involved - format - flash - video - images - text - it is Google so they should be able to cover your payouts on time cons - your sites market has a very low cost per click so the return would be very low - need loads of traffic to bank significant amount - quick to ban could loose income totally my suggestion would be go for something more targeted, offers like clothing or makeup your commissions would be based on sales but the payout much higher and targeted. you can get started on commission junction link in source box. place your advertisements within the sidebar and the bottom of each post. maybe even on the top of the post whatever makes more cash. all the best. |
