Download speed was 10 megabits per sec one day, and dropped to 1.3 megabits per sec, anybody know why?

My download speed on speedtest.net was over 10 megabits per second one day, then my internet felt slower so i tested it again and it was at 1.3 megabits per second. Nearly dropped by tenfold in a few days with the same people using the internet, same weather, same computer. Nothing is being downloaded and everything else runs fine. Does anybody know why my internet speed decreased by almost tenfold? Oh and im using google chrome like i always do, if that matters.
Sometimes the internet even cuts off for a few minutes before coming back even though most of the time it runs amazingly.

You should probably call your ISP, I'm sure they'd be more helpful as we have no control over your internet speeds........

It could be something as simple as line maintenance. It won't hurt to call and find out.

Time... its a bit like rush hour.. its busy because more people are trying to use the road but in your case its the internet.. higher paying customers get priority
