Barbershop advertisement ?

I got a friend who just starter a barbershop. He wants to put an ad on a magazine but he is limited on money. I can sponsor the ad, but what could be a good deal to offer him and i get a piece of the cake?

determine how you would figure out increased business based on the ad.
Is he or someone willing to ask each customer, did you see our ad?
hard to tell if he would be willing to do that
Perhaps your ad has a coupon for $1 off, then you would base the incentive payment, he would give you $0.25 for every coupon, something like that.

it is good to create a page on Facebook, do social media promotions with good offers and related images.
add more people from your area, post something new every time,
Its free of cost, no need to develop a website for this.
Give discounts for the students, offer some discounts on any week day.(Not on the weekends)
