Should I just insert my mom's credit card number in iTunes?

I know that when you sign up for iTunes you have to provide a credit card number. I do not have a credit card. My mom doesn't like to put any info online. I know when I get my iPod, I will never buy anything from iTunes. I'll just get songs off of CD's and YouTube. Should I just put her number in because I'll never buy anything?

It's been a while. But when I signed up ... I was able to skip that step. I never had a card on file. Skip was kind of a faded button. But it was there.

if you are making a account on a mobile device it will not have that option. you have to use a computer and go on apple.com.

You can purchase an iTunes card and use that instead of a credit card I believe. You can buy iTunes online as well and have the codes sent to you.
