Yeah, you definitely have to maintain source. This is because if you are ever found by that content owner (which is very likely since there are tools now like Copyscape) you will be in hot water immediately if he decides to take action. But if you are found doing this by Google search engine spam team, you will be penalized so hard that you may even want to leave blogging.
