So this girl in my class is my friend on facebook?

This girl in my college class is my friend on facebook. We never talked in class but we are friends on facebook. I kind of like her but at the same time I'm kind of turned off because shes really is a smoker and when I mean she is a smoker, she really is. Well recently she messaged me asking if I was in her class because we never talked before and I said yeah so she wanted to know if I can help her catch up on her work because she hasn't been to class in 2 weeks and she is backed up on ALOT of assignments. I said I'll help... what should I do? Should I talk to her? I kind of wanna go out with her but I don't seem like her type.

Help her with the work and see what happens from there. If you like her, ask her out, but if the smoking turns you off and you want to ask her out, you have to let her know that. But, in all honesty, she probably just needs the notes from the days she missed.

Talk to her! You have nothing to lose at this point, especially since you even said you guys don't really know each other that well offline. I say you should just go for it. You said you're afraid you might not be her type, but you'll never really know if you don't try. Hang out with her, help her with those assignments, get to know her, and see where it goes from there.

Well. She didn't know who you were until she found you on facebook after sitting a few chairs from you for a long while. Suddenly has a use for you because of her workload. And to boot, you don't think you guys are even compatible. Smells like trouble.

Good thing is that all of thing is so important to get a friend so you will support and keep happening.
