what major do i take in order to become an advertiser?

I currently applied to a community college and i selected my major to be Advertising, but i think i was suppose to pick marketing or something else. Im not sure if i was suppose to pick Advertising first or not. by the way this is going to be my first year in college :o
Also wat are the step/ majors i have to take (in order)
Also do u think a community college is a good path for me to study to be an Advertiser??

Marketing ought to be your first choice - advertising and/or communication as a minor (if your college has a system of majors and minors) with marketing as a major probably would help you have a more cogent grasp of the concepts of advertising. As far as your last question goes...well, that is really a choice you have to make. There may be a horde of factors that could have led you to apply and subsequently enroll in a community college. If, however, you ask me personally, I would choose a four-year college over a community college. But that is me...as I mentioned before, you have to do an introspection in terms of what fits you. Also, you can transfer from a comm college to a four year college - one option that you may think about. Best of luck!
