how do i create an official page on facebook?

this is very confusing and so I need some help sorting this out. long ago our organization created a facebook group. I know now that the group and creating a page is not the same. I created a page in facebook with the goal of creating an official facebook page for our organization. I selected "community" and listed it under "cause". This is a business and what we do is hold an annual pageant.

My question is since I created a page listed under community and cause, is it an official page or not? and if not what do I need to do to create an official page?

If you search for our group under the facebook search bar you will see a group, a cause page and two additional company pages both of which we can not claim, we have tried. This created confusion because people are liking different pages and we want to direct them to just one official page. Facebook help guide has not been helpful is sorting this all out. I see I am not the only on who can not claim my business page by hitting the "Is this your business" button under the settings area.

every page can't become an official page .i think u often see a tick mark beside some pages they are official.just try to increase the likes of your page because only most liked pages come on top if anybody searches for your page just post the page link in your group and pin it .

Yes it is A Official Page Does Not Matter What Category you Select The Category's is Just The Type of Page That you Are Making
