Is it okay to make a tumblr blog about quotes?

Tumblr was made a loonggg time ago but I just got the interest to making one, but I have no idea how to blog or whatever. I do have an idea on what to do but I'm not sure if it's good. I have a LOT of deep quotes and sayings on my phone, so I thought I might post/blog those? Is that what Tumblr is about? Posting picture of whatever interests you? So I don't know if it's a good idea, I just need opinions about it. If it's not a good idea, can you give me examples of what people post on Tumblr? Or if it is a good idea, how do I get people to follow my blog?

yeah of course! i've seen a lot of tumblr blogs just focused on quotes (: tumblr is about posting whatever you like/interests you, so if you like quotes then go for it! you can choose to post pictures of the quotes, or you can choose to type them out and make text posts; it all depends on what you prefer because it's your blog

here's how you gain followers:
-reblog/like a lot of people's posts (they might follow you after they see you in their notes)
-post a lot of original content and tag it with loads of (relevant) tags
-you can search up "follow for a follow" and follow people who'll follow back
-ask people for follow backs
-share your tumblr on other social media sites
-talk to people, whether its by replying, asking, or reblogging stuff and adding a comment
