Is Google Chrome's AutoFill safe?

I was making an online purchase and it asked me information such as name, email, phone etc. and credit card information. In "First Name", I typed an I and Ian came up in the Google Chrome AutoFill so I clicked on it because I'm too lazy to type two more letters. When I clicked on Ian, ALL of the information instantly filled out, even the credit card number, security code and expiration date, and it was all correct, I found it very unsafe.

No it' snot safe and since Goggle is the biggest intelligence gathering operation in the world using anything Google is also not safe. The NSA would love to be Google.
