Question about Tumblr and changing the date on a new blog entry?

If I create a new blog entry but change the date (for example, to one month in the past), will it still appear at the top of my followers' dashboards when I post it?

I want certain entries to appear further down on my Tumblr page, but still want the followers to know that something new was added.

Tumblr won't do it that way. They'll let you queue up posts for the future but it won't back date and allow your followers to see it as a new post.
