My computer has windows 8. It connects to my home Wi Fi internet connection automatically but does?

but it does not connect to anyother Wi Fi internet connection while I am travelling. When I view basic internet information on my computer it tells the available Wi-Fi connections but also states No internet connection in Access Type when I try to connect to one. Can anyone help me how can I rectify the fault

This is normal. It will not connect automatically the first time. After you've connected the first time and put in the passcode for a secure connection, it will then connect automatically any future time it comes within range.
