change browser from firefox back to IE?

bought a new computer with windows 8.1 Videos do not play but sound does. Adobe says flash player is optimized for IE 8 and cannot be downloaded since I am not running it. How do I get back to IE 8?

IE 8 is unsupported on Windows 8.1. If Adobe really says so, they mean Flash Player is optimized for IE 8 and later versions (9, 10, 11). Windows 8.1 has IE 11 included. But if it doesn't really work, try other browsers such as Chrome and Opera.

Why use IE ever? Firefox is best for generic browsing and Chrome is best for lots of flash browsing.

On occasions, Windows tends to put out an update that messes up firefox. Just do a search to see if there was one recently installed that has this known issue and follow the step offered by microsoft to fix it.

To answer your question (if you must), you should be able to press the windows key and then be able to select IE. If you don't see it, just start typing it.
