What to do with an innovative idea?
I have, what I believe to be, I really good a idea for a redesign of a widely used product that could make a lot of money, but I don't know what to do with it? Are there businesses that can be recommended to facilitate the R&D and creation of such an idea? Government grants? Thanks
And what do I do if I have funds? Where can the product be produced? Ads |

Loan from the bank. Ideas are a dime a dozen, you will need to put up alot of your own money and prove it will work.

There's lots of help out there for starting a business, from business link, to the NFEA, The prince's trust, etc as well as loads of business forums. As a general background that will help
Re ideas, have a look at patents and intellectual property on the gov website. Consider approaching the market leader and see if you can engage their interest - be aware most will not engage with you on the basis that they are already working on "ideas" and don't want to get into legal complications with endless people saying "I had that idea". Really you need to prepare a business case with financial forecasts to get anyone interested, afraid "ideas" by themselves are really just a starting point. Its proving, or at least demonstrating, that its financially worthwhile to develop and invest the necessary resources in doing so. |
