Is something wrong with Amazons website?
For months now I've been getting this message: (We're sorry. An error occurred when we tried to process your request. Rest assured, we're already working on the problem and expect to resolve it shortly) when trying to reach the website, I have a Windows 8 laptop and a windows 7 Tower both HP and both with AVG anti virus, sometimes my anti virus will mark amazon as a threat, When I use CCleaner the website will work again but only for a few minutes. Does anyone know how to fix this??

Oh I use Google Chrome, but when I try to use Windows Explorer I straight up just get a 404 on Amazon.

You may have found the answer by reviewing your system setup, but it may be something as simple as your browser settings. I have Chrome also, and what isn't in the docs from Google is that Chrome does not delete your browsing history - you have to do it manually from the nav bar. Which means each time you attempt to enter Amazon, likely your browser is retrieving the old history link and not the latest one.

Before reconfiguring your system, try clearing the browser history in Chrome (far right icon in nav bar on mine, click it and scroll down to 'bookmark's, and click on 'bookmarks manager'. Finally, use the advance feature and clear browsing history.) It's aggravating but CCleaner won't catch it because it's not a registry problem - it's a Chrome problem.

You might also want to try using a separate tab for Amazon when you do a search. It's dumb but sometimes that's the only way to make it work.
