confusing internet explorer issue?

I am running IE 11 and have all the latest Java and Flash updates. However videos will not play as they say I need to install Flash and other programmes I use say that they can not run as my IE is lower than version 6, which is not the case.

I have run a virus scan, malware and spyware scan and all is okay.

Any ideas?

Uninstall IE11 and revert back to either IE10 or IE9.

You could uninstall it and go back to your previous version.

this is why I wait until new versions/updates etc have been out a while before using them.

Try using Chrome or Firefox, if those work then it's not really worth solving the problems with IE, might as well just use a new browser.
