open website or sell on ebay?

should I open my own website or sell my items on ebay? I have thousands of items so ya whats a better idea?

I like Ebay! Others can bid on your items and you can also set a set price for the people who must have your item!

i'd say ebay as its less hassle and trusted, if you get ranked your items will fly pass.

it is a tough call.

from the trends i am witnessing, there are more companies (could be solopreneur) that are shifting away from ebay, to classified sites incl ebay classifieds and facebook and having their own ecommerce sites

i hope that i am wrong but i see possible alliances forming - on one side is goog and ebay, another is amazon, and another facebook and wordpress, another is yahoo and bing
