getting internet where do they go in the basement or attic?

I am getting internet service and have never had any lines or cable ran before. We have an antenna satelite. Where would the internet company man go ? Would they be in the basement or the attic of a home? Just wondering so I can make room otherwise there will be decorations boxes in the way

Normally the basement if he can access above the ceiling to run wires. Lazy guys will want to drill holes all over the outside of your house and then string wires under your siding. In the attic you go down through the walls. It's a much nicer, but harder to do solution. It's going to depend on how good your installer is, and how your house is made.
