How do I start my blog?

I want to start a teenager based blog about clothes, d.i.y projects, reviews, etc. Where would be the best place to start? The website must provide a FREE way for me to post with no subscription required. I have heard blogspot is good, but I was wondering if I would do better getting noticed on youtube, tumblr, etc. I would much prefer typing and uploading pictures than youtube, but if its the best way, so be it.
Any other insightful tips would be very appreciated.

wordpress is better for these things. blogspot is like sharing life events or your ideas. but wordpress will be good but sometimes pricy. also you can get your free tk domain at dot.tk

I use wordpress.com because I like their options for themes and the option of free or paid sites.

I would do some planning for your blog and then you'll be able to figure out which blog service suits you. Youtube can provide some great media for your blog. You're going to want it to stand out.
