How to get my advertising idea up and running?
I have created a new and unique advertising idea. However, I have the idea but I have no clue as to how to get it exposure in terms of businesses using my idea to their own benefit. Do I approach companies with my business plan and go from there or is there a better way of achieving my goal of gaining money and expanding the idea in the future? Will companies pay for all the expenses involved? I really need help as I know that my idea has potential.

Any advice will be helpful.

As some professional inventors and writers will tell you, good ideas along are a dime a dozen until they are implemented in some material way. Advertising companies probably throw out dozens of ideas for every one they use, I suspect like movie script and song lyric ideas, they may well turn you away to avoid your accusing them of using your idea in some similar campaign.

There are countless products being marketed by affiliates in the internet for something like a 15% commission, any chance of you implementing your ad idea on your own promoting a product that might earn you a little, maybe a youtube video.

You will need to do some research on the common advertising tactics. This is necessary whether you want to implement it yourself or outsource it because you wouldn't want to be left in the dark while paying for advertising. First know your possible competitors and see what they are doing. Replicate or even outperform what they are doing. Know your prospects and over deliver. There are lots of methods and you can practically advertise anywhere online as long as you are allowed to do so.

Some ideas:
Create a blog or a website
Use Pay per click
Use social media platforms
Advertise on high traffic websites
Use videos
Use Joint venture through affiliate networks (where people promote for you and you pay them commissions)
As you have mentioned: collaborate with marketing companies
