You have to be creative, the best names are already taken, an abstract tricky names typically costs more in branding promotion to make popular, compared to a more descriptive name perhaps Photo.. something combined with a positive adjective.

There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, domainsBot.com some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.

If you find an available .com name, there's a high probability that it' not a trademarked name.

You may also search for Positive Adjective Lists for inspiration and use the bulk search function at registrars like Godaddy to check a bunch of names at once.

If you're doing a personal portfolio type site, you won't go wrong with using your own name; use just your last name if possible. That way, you'll have a cool email address like jim@johnson.com.

1) use this Verisign tool (get a .com or .net): https://www.domainscope.com
2) buy the name you select (after doing "due diligence" - name not trademarked, etc.) at a reputable registrar (I recommend namecheap.com )

If you are a local photographer, you can add your city name with the word "photography"

newyorkphotography.com something like this or use your name with the word "photography" like petersphotography.com.

my suggestions are(available domains)
stunnedobjects.com
myphotografy.com
fotografy.com is avaibale but it will cost you $16,000
myfotografy.com
