how to select a niche for building a site?
Hello Guys,
I want to create a niche site for earning revenue from adsense and affiliate marketing. But, i am really stuck at this initial process for selecting a niche. I tried some ideas but all of them are showing a lot of competition and very low commercial potential. I really need help at:
- How to find a good niche?
- Can i find good ideas online? How?
- How to check if a niche is profitable and high converting?

Please guys help me out. That will really be appreciated.
Thank you Smile

There is one moderately priced internet marketer tool Market Samuri, that provides some useful research functions including a competitiveness rating for a subject. Ultimate there is a lot of trial and error in finding worthwhile topic.

If you have an Adwords advertising account $10 min deposit, you would have access to the keyword cost column of the Google Keyword tool.keyword, (don't expect to cash in on the expensive Doctor and Lawyer terns with an adsense site), without an account you can still get some Competitiveness information on a subject.

I must say if you don't already have a burning interest in some subject that your need to share with others, the chance of your maintaining the need level of motivations to continue creating new quality content on a regular basis is small. There are countless half baked sites that never get the 10,000 or so visitors needed just to get one Adsense check. Any subject people are known to spend money on is a candidate, the more obscure, the better chance you won't have thousands of others competing for the 10 listings on page one of the search engine results, where 90% of the clicks occur.

think of subjects which will generate the most money.
Also contemplate which subjects people will more likely click on your ads...old people...women...
tech people are less likely to click on your ads as they know bettter.

You can think about a good idea or a fresh niche by which you can build a site for you. It can be any niche -commercial or organisational. It can also be related to social service.

The best way to find the niche is to use free Google Adwords Tool (search it on google). Just write word or phrase you choose to the field and select advance filter for locations. Change to exact match keyword ideas and click search.

You will get whole lots of keywords with Global and Local Monthly Searches. Look around it and then choose one and again repeat the process with choosen keyword and search again and in this way you can get to a niche or keyword which has low competition but high or good PPC. Just prctice it and you will get the knowledge at last.

I was in the same place now you are when I first started blogging with AdSense ads. I have made more then a dozen blogs and I advice you to stop looking for a profitable niche!!!! you are just wasting your time.
If you really want to make money from AdSense you need to chose a niche in which you are most comfortable and have lots of knowledge about.

Anyway if you still want a profitable niche choose online Jobs

Hey Nishant,

I know how you are feeling, it can be very hard to know what to do without following a step by step guide.

Luckily I recently wrote a post about finding niches here: http://workwithjoshcohen.com/what-is-niche-marketing/

I then have an advanced course still free of course that walks you through the process of how I build hundreds of niche sites

Please let me know what you think and if you have any other questions
Josh
