What's the best way to promote and collect RSVPs for a party?
Having a party. Hosted by a small group of people - 3 people. We want the ability for these multiple "party managers" to invite their friends, family and clients using Facebook, LinkedIn, email, etc. What app do you recommend with Facebook, LinkedIn, and email integration? Again, need multiple managers for this to work well and the ability to send invitations via Facebook, LinkedIn, and email.

Steve - I know that social media appears to be the "be all - end all" but honestly - I think sending invitations through social media and e- mail to be just plain tacky. Create your own invitations. Snail mail. Your RSVP can be e-mail or phone.

Since you and three friends are co-hosting this party you need to get together and first decide on the maximum number of guest that you can host. How much work are your each willing to do - as in venue, food prep, decorating, setting up food service and $$$. You and each of your co-host need to create a guest list. If the number of guest exceeds the maximum then you each have to trim your list. If you are the primary host then all RSVP should be directed to you. One person should be responsible for the RSVP. BTW- on your invitation list the names of all 4 hosts. 1 host for contact.

Hopefully you already have a venue. The four of you need to plan a menu and divide food prep and cooking duties. Make sure you have everything you need as for as food warmers, serving platters, serving utensils, plates, cutlery, linens ..... Make joint decisions about flowers and other decorations. TIP - limit your alcohol to beer (canned or bottled) and wine. Provide water, soft drinks, tea and lemonade - coffee. Non alcohol beer and FREE wine for non drinkers.

Not knowing the occasion, your venue, whether the event is catered or if you and your co-host are doing the food it is difficult to make specific suggestions.

I have 2 sisters. Between the 3 of us we host 4 to 6 cocktail parties a year, plus family dinners at Christmas, Thanks Giving and Easter and the occasional "big birthday" party We also host dinner parties - either together or individually. Between the 3 of us we have all of the party/entertaining "stuff" needed to put on an elegant, fun party. Entertaining is a an art. It takes practice and it takes "stuff".

Good luck

Just send cards and call them, they would most likely to come if you do that.
