How to destroy the evil BING search engine for good?
No matter what I do, my computer reverts to Bing. Before you say to use Google Chrome, that is not an option. Whenever I use Chrome, it crashes within an hour of opening it. This isn't good for me and my prolonged computer use.

I've changed it in settings, and it'll stay as Google for a month or two, but the next time I update anything on my laptop, it switches back to Bing.

It's not only my laptop, however. Every computer in my house has slowly started to catch the Bing. It's spreading.

How do I get rid of it for good, while still using Firefox? I cannot stand to open my browser and see this evil website one more time.

I am morally against Bing. I feel that it is evil and attempting to take over the internet. It clearly wants a monopoly search engine. It's trying to kick all other search engines out of the picture. I do not like Bing. You cannot "bing" something. You can "google" something. Bing is just not THE search engine, no matter how hard it tries.

Please, help, before it infects my whole town.

if you want to destroy bing, go to their main building with some explosives then blow that bad boy up.
or flood their servers with porn links.

If you are using a Windows, your default browser is usually Bing and internet explorer as your default browser.
First just remove internet explorer all together and use Firefox. Before you remove ie, download firefox using internet explorer.
Then To uninstall Internet Explorer
Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.

In the left pane, click View installed updates.

Select Internet Explorer 8, and then click Uninstall. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall Internet Explorer

When you're done, restart Windows.

Now to make sure Bing is not the default search engine on your firefox too. Follow these steps:

Move the mouse cursor inside the search box at the top right of the Firefox window and click the down arrow next to the provider's logo.
From the dropdown list, select Manage Search Engines....
Choose the "BING" and click Remove
Click OK to save.

Voila! Now you no longer have stoopid internet explorer and his cousin Bing. Use Firefox.
By the way, your chrome is maybe crushing because you didn't update it.

Hope this helps

since you don't like bing/yahoo maybe you will like duckduckgo.com -- it is the most private of all search engines on the net, has good results

using google / chrome / firefox you have back doors into everything you do on the net-- try spark browser from Baidu, you might like it better

You mean Google? I hear they're trying to get samples of your DNA these days... Creeps...

I use swagbacks you get rewarded points for your searches and when you get enough points you can redeem them for gift cards to like Amazon, sephora, paypal, etc..
