What does ' in others ' mean on Facebook messaging?

When I have messaged non friends on fb they say " sorry I haven't replyed sooner, your message was in others". I have got no idea what this means. Any ideas? X
Hannah - how do you find "in others"? One person didn't reply for over 6 months coz she didn't see it lol

It means the message wasn't in their normal inbox because they aren't your friends. That's why it's in "in others"

There are to box available in FB
1. Your inbox (notification available )
2. Other (Spam messages, Non friends messages but no notification )
By click in others option you can see easily the person wan to talk with you

when you ll send message to unknown people it will always goes to others and if that person open the other part by mistake or knowingly then only he/she can see your message other wise no option.

Go to your Facebook mail. Look at the top. It says 2 things; Inbox & Other.

That would be the "Other".

When you message someone on facebook who isn't your friend the message goes into the "other" box instead of their "inbox".
