how do i get rid of the ipod advert?
a new large advert for ipod takes over a large space on my screen when i go to homepage, how do i block it ?

Stop using Internet Explorer as your browser. Switch to Firefox and install their AdBlock option.

I had the same problem and tried the method of disabling active scripting in internet options, this worked but stopped a gaming site I use from working. I turned scripting back on and the gaming site started working again but also the advert was back.
I eventually found that by running yahoo in "compatibility" mode the advert went and everything else worked fine...I use windows XP.
Compatibility view is found under "tools" at the top right of ie 8.0.

Worked for me, good luck.
