I have IMAP and POP accounts for one user---may I delete the POP account without losing my email addresses?
A friend set up the preferred IMAP account and neglected to delete the POP account on the Administrator account. The POP account has taken over.

you do not need the pop account - you can delete it - usually in Mail apps you use one or the other not both
