Does my computer disturb the household internet?
It's a theory my mother has, in my absence we got a new router, and it's been fine, smooth internet all through the house, but now I'm back and using my desktop the internet drops every now and then.

Is it possible that when my computer is on it drains the internet?

My desktop is upstairs, and the router downstairs.

Routers are often sold to a certain number of devices based on speed so adding an extra device can easily slow and sometimes drop devices off the signal.
