This will depend on the keyword used for the query, the popularity of page, and its relevance to that query. If people visits the page where the product is found, or if a lot of other web properties link to it, then the chances for ranking in search results is higher. hope this helps.

Google ranks primarily by site popularity and text content volume and quality, they assume that other sites linking to a store is a positive vote and will tally up these links. There are price comparison services that use data feeds from numerous retailers where you can find the lowest selling price, though there can be hidden profits in shipping and handling.

Great question. No. Google and Amazon deal with search the search result differently but the general search has similar characteristics. The item which is optimized the best is the one that you will see first. Once the search is done on sites like eBay and Amazon you can organize by highest price to lowest price...or the other way around. However "value" is more that just the cost of an item
