Samsung Galaxy S4 battery dies fast?
So I just got the galaxy s4 a couple days ago, and the battery is dying really fast, even on power saver mode and with only a couple apps running. My friend said that when I got it, I was supposed to let the battery die and then charge it to 100%. I didn't do this, I charged it to 100% right when I got home, and my friend said that because of this the battery power won't be as good as it could have been. Is this true? Also, what are some ways to prolong my battery life? I have AT&T, if that makes any difference. Thanks.

I know Android itself is not as efficient as iOS/Windows phone, but even with that, it shouldn't be draining too fast. I never heard about having to let it die first.
That's probably the normal battery life of the phone. I've had a few Samsungs before, and am never making that mistake again Look up S4 battery tests and compare to them to see if your battery is actually draining fast or is normal. If you find out that is is actually draining fast, you can try buying a new battery. Ads |

It does die fast, I'm a heavy-heavy user in between checking emails on 15 minute intervals, watching YouTube, Messaging, Pandora, Instagram, Facebook, S-Beam and listening to music. My battery on the S4 would die in a few hours, if not less. I found an extended battery for the Galaxy S4 and I get a little under 2 days on a single charge and it seems to be lasting longer every time i charge it. Here is the link to the Galaxy S4 Battery that I use.

Both the Galaxy S3 and S4 dies fast if you are using the default batteries in them. I use an extended battery which more than doubles the default battery power in both of these phones. If you are interested , I will add the resource below.
