Is it possible to store the internet history of all Web browser customers?
I am just wondering if this is possible. I mean the terms databanks and "remote servers" make me feel very anxious as to if this is possible. It would take a phenomenal amount of storage space to achieve this but for someone with money and resources I think it is possible. Any thoughts?

Just as `phone companies store the callers number and the called numbers for itemised billing as they are required to by law for many years by the way, and also to resolve billing disputes, the content of any communication is not recorded or stored.

The same applies to IP addresses which are pretty much the same as `phone numbers if you think about it, as they connect one user to a server using what is basically the `phone network by knowing the originator and the party that they connected to.
So the powers that be will know where you have been, but will not know what you did, although they might make an educated guess if the need arose.
I feel happy with that arrangement, so should you.
Unless you are a terrorist or a major criminal you do not have much to worry about.
Regards, Bob.

Not only possible, ISPs have a legal requirement to store web URLs for a minimum of 6 months.
It's not that much storage these days.
(the world generates and stores as much data in 2 days as the amount of data generated and stored between the dawn of civilization and 2002)
